Aevor and Sustainability
The brand Aevor received 6,5 out of 7 points and has the status „Leader”.
Therefore it deserves our Sustainable tag.
Read more about our criteria for assessing sustainability.
External materials for the production of backpacks, bags and other travel accessories of the Aevor brand are made up of at least 50% recycled PET bottles. For the new spring / summer 2020 collection, external materials with a 100% share of recycled PET bottles are used. Furthermore, only organic cotton is used.
The brand guarantees that the dyes used in the production are not harmful to the environment or the workers who handle them.
Membership in the Fair Wear Foundation (FWF) covers the fact that the workers involved in production have good working conditions. This means that they have adequate wages and a safe working environment.
The brand knows its suppliers up to level 3 - therefore it knows the supplier of raw materials.
The length of the production chain is offset by Aevor's efforts to reduce environmental pollution. For example, by reducing the consumption of natural resources and producing less CO2 emissions, bluesign® factories are preferred, ship transportation of materials / products from subcontractors to the warehouse is preferred, and DHL GoGreen, is used for transport to the final customers.
The complete production chain has a longer path than 10 000 km.
The Aevor brand is to start working with ClimatePartner to reduce the CO2 emissions of its products for the Fall / Winter 2020 collection.
