Materials used to make Fjällräven products include organic cotton, recycled cotton, recycled polyester, Tencel Lyocell or leather from animals that have been raised for meat production, so that the leather is a by-product.

In some places, goods are transported using DHL GoGreen, and in Costa Rica, the Globetrotter Vision Forest afforestation project is supported. In 2018, they compensated for 17,777 tons of CO2 consumed for the transport of goods, business trips or, for example, participation in the ISPO trade fair.

The Fjällräven initiative called the Arctic Fox represents the idea that there are countless great ideas that can have a positive impact on the environment. At the same time, it is clear that, through collective efforts, we can exacerbate these positive effects even more. Every year, any non-profit organization can apply with its project, which focuses on environmental protection and the best of them is supported by fundraising from the sale of selected products. The winning projects are decided by an expert commission.
