Material

The SKFK brand uses materials such as recycled polyester, linen, Tencel Lyocell, organic cotton, hemp, recycled leather and, recently, recycled cotton.

Dyeing

The brand guarantees that the dyes used in the production are not harmful to the environment or the workers who handle them. The European Union's REACH regulation, which regulates the use of chemicals, is complied with.

Production

The brand is responsible for ensuring that workers up to level 2 of the supply chain have good working conditions that are controlled. They are therefore provided with a safe working environment and have adequate wages.

Supply chain knowledge

The brand knows its suppliers up to level 2 - therefore it does not know the suppliers of raw materials.

Production radius

The brand is trying to reduce its carbon footprint by transporting 100% of its production by sea, and its headquarters and stores in Spain are 100% powered by renewable energy.

The complete production chain has a longer path than 10 000 km.

CSR

The brand is a proud member of the Chetna Coalition organization, which is a kind of demand community for organic cotton. Individual buyers and sellers create long-term but small liabilities. The aggregation of these smaller liabilities will meet the demand for Chetna's total organic cotton production. The community is also working together to improve the conditions of farmers in Chetna.

Certificates

Is an alternative approach to conventional trade. The Fairtrade approach is based on partnerships between manufacturers and buyers of products. A fair commodity price (e.g. organic cotton, flax, etc.) ensures that farmers and workers get paid fairly, grow their crops with respect for the environment and their children can attend school.

An international non-profit organization founded in 1993. FSC certification guarantees that products have been created in accordance with the principles of sustainable forest management.

GOTS certification guarantees that the products are made of organic textile fibbers and the entire production process is environmentally friendly. This protects the environment, the health of workers and final consumers. At the same time, the Global Organic Textile Standard includes requirements for the ethical and social aspects of production. Farmers and production workers are provided with good working conditions.

The PETA - Approved Vegan label guarantees that the products do not contain any animal ingredients and that no animal has suffered during the production.
