Street hand in hand with Nordic habits. Makers of the Makia brand in northern Finland did not leave the label in 2001, to extinguish the skepticism surrounding the project. Will Finland be inspired enough to create original street wear?
Will this Nordic label find its fans? It turned out that yes. Redefining streetfashion, using Nordic quality ideals that lasts for years, and top-level functionality, was a good step. The modest Nordic version of Makia's label products has just dragged on and it was shown already in 2007 when Makia products first appeared on store shelves, and since then, a lot of fans have found their way. Makia's most interesting Makia project is Makia Racing. The project builds on the tradition of motoring in Finland and the love of sports cars between Finns. They have been invited to join the legend, the competitor Kimi Räikkönen. Great marketing move. Makia Makia has managed to re-launch the durable and functional 70-year-inspired outfit, designed for those who like fast cars but not just for them, through limited edition Makia Racing. No unnecessary products, the products from this edition were cut to the bone, maximally relieved from surplus to make them as durable and comfortable as possible. Makia, for lovers of the North and those who like to experiment.
